My Week At Work Experience
The first day of my work experience.
The first day of my work experience I was very nervous about the week, yet when I got there I soon figured it out and wasn't nervous anymore. Everyone was helpful and welcoming so I wasn't worried about asking for help. First, I learnt about keywords and why we use them and how to find them in Google Keyword Planner to see which ones to use. Then I created a new banner design on Procreate and learnt to use all the tools to make it all look bright and vibrant. I used different colors that contrasted each other to make them stand out and be bold. Then after my break I created some Instagram posts on Canva for Lincs Pest. I look at some other Pest accounts for inspiration then created 5 different posts all to a green color theme which I had a lot of fun making. Then after I finished with that I finished up my banner for the last hour.

Would I recommend doing work experience?
Yes, I would recommend doing work experience as you get the experience of working in a work environment, you also get the experience to add to your CV and when your applying to colleges, and it can also open up career paths you wouldn't have even thought about. Also it's a once in a life time opportunity that you should take to give you an insight on working life and what opportunities it could lead you on.

Was it what I expected?
At first I thought that this job would be difficult and you had to be really smart to do it, which after doing my work experience I have seen that there are lots of different departments with different tasks that everyone can do and accomplish. I also thought this job would be boring as it's an office job but I've found that being in an office job doesn't just mean your sat in silence being bored, everyone is getting there job while also making it fun. Also the day goes pretty fast so while your doing a task the time seems to just fly by, so the day doesn't drag on as I thought it would. So all the experiences were different to what I expected but in a good way.
Why is work experience helpful?
Work experience is helpful in helping you add experience on your CV which makes it look better to an employer as they know that you have experience in a work place setting. It also makes you know what its like to work in certain work environments and can open up career paths in things you didn't even think to look for in a job. Also it can show you what you want and possibly don't want in a job setting like the hours, or what you do. Work experience can help you figure out a lot of things for the next steps in your working life.
